INDUSTRIAL TRANSFORMATION IN A DIGITAL ENVIRONMENT

On February 25, the Department of Automation of Technological Processes and Production held a University round table on the topic “Transformation of industry in the context of the digital technology use” remotely on the ZOOM platform.

Senior Lecturer of the Department of Automation of Technical Processes and Production Zabolotnaya V.V. offered to discuss the topic of “Modern forms of industry and government interaction in the context of digital transformation”. Nowadays, enterprises that aim to make their business as effective as possible in the framework of production and interaction with customers tend to undergo digital transformation, which involves adopting such technologies as cloud computing (CC), Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT), artificial intelligence (AI), augmented and virtual reality (AR and VR), digital twins (DT), etc. They transform traditional industrial operations, combining state-of-art innovative tools and processes with in-house expertise, accelerating data collection and analysis for rapid asset status and operational life cycle management.

The digital transformation of the industrial sector of economy implies a new economy industrialization through widespread implementation of innovative technologies in industry. These technologies should be based on the collection and analysis of big data, application of network management technologies. They should also provide remote access to production processes and operations, complex robotization of production operations, additive technologies, intelligent data processing systems, etc.

During the discussion of the topic, the Deputy Head of the State Administration of Rybnitsa and the Rybnitsa district, Moldovsky Y.P. spoke about the advantages of “Electronic Document Flow” in the interaction of state structures and enterprises. The main advantages of electronic document flow are the following ones: high document processing speed; a possibility of automating numerous aspects of the document flow; small size as the electronic database takes less space than paper files; high security of information; a possibility to work with documents remotely.

In the talking points of the topic “Electronic reporting of enterprises”, the head of the tax inspection of the Rybnitsa region and the city Zadoynova T.I. highlighted the advantages of digital technologies in the work of enterprises within the framework of the tax legislation of the PMR. Such a way of transferring reports is much easier and faster. It is also convenient that the report comes within a few hours and it is already possible to say for sure whether the reporting was submitted correctly or not, and the company wins the speed of processing and accepting documents. The advantage is that reporting is submitted without intermediaries. The service is also conditionally free. You don’t need to pay for its use, but you still need to buy an electronic signature and a cryptographic protection tool to work.

The Lecturer of the department Cherbulenko A.V. in the topic “The activities of industrial enterprises and non-profit organizations in the context of the digital technology development” noted that the experience of such non-profit organizations as the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the PMR and the Union of Industrialists, Agrarians and Entrepreneurs of the PMR shows changes in approaches in the interaction of State Authorities, non-profit organizations and subjects of industry and entrepreneurship as partners in the formation of a new paradigm for the development of the institutional environment. The use of digital technologies made it possible to transfer trade and economic relations between economic agents to a new level, opened the way for searching for new mechanisms and the implementation of innovative technologies for further development and strengthening of strong ties. The specificity of the digital transformation of the modern agro-industrial complex is, first of all, that advanced technologies have become most widespread in large organizations and divisions of agricultural holdings. In small and medium-sized businesses, the transfer of these technologies is still difficult due to an insufficiently developed material and technical base, a shortage of qualified personnel and financial resources.

The abstracts of the Vice-President of the PMR Chamber of Commerce and Industry Isaev V.G. “Automation and digitization of business processes, in particular the sales process of the CRM system”. The transformation of industry in the context of the use of digital technologies is an effective tool for improving the efficiency of resource use. Under modern conditions the technologies used by enterprises are of decisive importance in ensuring the quality of production processes and solving specific business tasks. The impact of digital transformation on activities of enterprises and the introduction of digital technologies and new management approaches contributes to maintaining the level of competitiveness of enterprises in the market, expanding the possibilities of selling products, including via the Internet platforms.

Candidate of Economic Sciences, Associate Professor, Head of the Department Vladimir E. Fedorov highlighted the topic “Transformation of industry in the context of the use of digital technologies”. Digital transformation of industry is a process reflecting the transition of the industrial sector from one technological mode to another through the large-scale use of digital and information and communication technologies in order to increase its efficiency and competitiveness. Industry 4.0, the next evolution in industrial production, promises to provide genuine integration of information and operational technologies. This will result in significant efficiency gains while reducing the costs. These include equipment specifications and characteristics, increased automation, as well as the use of advanced computer models for more informed and timely decision-making. The interest is no longer so much in the study of operating characteristics and their impact on the output product quality, but rather in the identification of interdependencies and cause-effect relationships in the production system, in the research and improvement of the whole production cycle.

Summing up the results of the round table, Candidate of Economic Sciences, Associate Professor Fedorov V.E. thanked the participants for fruitful work. On the basis of possible trends and taking into account the existence of a sufficiently developed industrial complex in the Republic, we can state that digitization makes it possible, on the one hand, to ensure the preservation of the established economic ties, and, on the other hand, to increase export capacities by actively promoting Pridnestrovian products to the world markets. In addition to that, it will allow to take a range of measures with the scope to attract large-scale investment in the capital stock, to modernize and increase the Republic’s industrial potential.
