Sports and Mass Activities of the Department Teaching Staff
Physical culture, health and sports mass ACTIVITIES of the department teachING STAFF One of the main forms of physical culture aimed at involving all students in systematic sports, improving the level of physical and professional performance, sports skills, organizing active leisure, is sports and mass activities. This work at the Rybnitsa branch of the PSU named after T.G. Shevchenko as structural components includes academic and training sessions, sports competitions, as well as relevant elements of their organization. The direct responsibility for organizing and conducting mass sports events, the educational process in the disciplines “Elective courses in physical culture” and “Physical Culture”; organizing ongoing monitoring and assessment of students’ physical fitness возлагатьis laid upon the teachers of physical culture of the Department of General Scientific Disciplines. The branch organizes sports sections for volleyball, basketball, and tourism. There is a gym. Internal competitions in basketball, volleyball, table tennis, tourism are held at the branch. Physical Culture teachers are constantly involved in judging competitions at the city and district level. Every year students of the branch take part in the following events of the city: - opening and closing of the summer sports season at the city stadium in Rybnitsa: competitions in volleyball, table tennis, mini-football, 100- and 60-meters race, wrestling “Trynta“ (the responsible person is Senior Lecturer Borisyuk V.N.); - basketball competitions within the framework of the decade of youth and students, on the day of the graduates mix (the responsible people are Senior Lecturer Borisyuk V.N., Lecturer Mosezhny V.I.) - orienteering competitions within the framework of the decade of youth and students (the responsible person is Senior Lecturer Shumilova I.F.); - student tourist rally ”Rodnik“ on the basis of the sports camp of the village of Buski, the Rybnitsa district (the responsible people are Senior Lecturers Shumilova I.F., Borisyuk V.N., Lecturer Mosezhny V.I.). In the 2019-2020 academic year, Senior Lecturer Shumilova I.F. arranged competitive entertainment programs: “We are brave guys!” dedicated to the Defender of the Fatherland Day and “Come on, girls” dedicated to March 8. These events are planned to be held annually. Holding such events promotes and popularizes a healthy lifestyle of young people, educates readiness for high-performance work, moral, strong-willed and physical qualities.    |
